School workshops can be in-school or after school projects. The school workshops are orientated towards increasing focus, attention and concentration as well as including the fun element. Usually the drawing part of these activity workshops is sufficient for building up these skills.
They can also be useful tools for improving a childs self regulated behaviour and learning respect for boundaries. This is achieved through the quiet audio part of the workshop.
The workshops can also use an alternative module of creative writing or digital media, depending on the objectives of the teacher. Workshops are also an excellent way of sampling the ImaginationGYM method before introducing it more permanetly to school life whether in formal classroom settings or in after school clubs. In such cases staff would undergo training in the methodolgy as it is designerd to be self sustaining however ongoing support is also available.
Learning Difficulties
Variations of the workshop are suitable for children with learning difficulties such as, dyslexia,AD-HD,dyspraxia,aspergers syndrome, etc. Please let us know your precise requirements by email or phone before booking a workshop.
Teacher Training
As an alternative to ImaginationGYM running workshops in your school, teachers can attend a two day training programme (spread over 6 weeks with ongoing support) which will teach you in the methodology and how to run effective workshops on a regular basis in your school.
